Duties and Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
The consultant must possess a Bachelor’s degree in social science, international affairs, business management, or communication, with a Master’s degree preferred but not essential. A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in project management with UN agencies, international or local NGOs, or organizations focusing on adolescents and young people is required. Proven experience working directly with youth and facilitating participatory processes is essential. The consultant should have a good understanding of Da Nang’s socio-economic context and a network of stakeholders, including youth-led organizations, government representatives, and the private sector.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in social science, international affairs, business management, or communication is required. A Master’s degree is preferred but not mandatory. The educational background should support the consultant's ability to engage effectively with adolescents and young people in urban settings.
Experience:
The consultant should have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in project management, particularly with UN agencies, international or local NGOs, or organizations focused on youth. Experience in working directly with youth and facilitating participatory processes is crucial. The consultant should also have a strong understanding of Da Nang’s socio-economic landscape and established networks with various stakeholders in the region.
Languages:
Professional command of English and Vietnamese is mandatory. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.

- The consultant will primarily work from home while maintaining partnerships with local stakeholders, particularly focusing on adolescents and young people. The role involves facilitating monitoring, evaluation, and learning components, as well as reporting and documenting best practices. The consultant will participate in relevant meetings, workshops, and events to ensure project activities are executed effectively and align with the outlined objectives and standards. The consultant is expected to provide quality technical support, strategic advice to project partners, strengthen partnerships with local organizations, and contribute to project monitoring and evaluation activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide quality technical support for the successful execution of UNICEF programme interventions in Da Nang, ensuring effective implementation.
- Offer strategic advice to project consortium partners, aiding in project planning and achieving desired outcomes.
- Strengthen partnerships with various organizations in Da Nang, including local government, NGOs, and youth-led organizations, to enhance project impact.
- Collaborate with UNICEF programme sections to facilitate and monitor project activities, including arranging field missions and donor visits.
- Develop comprehensive reports detailing project progress during the extended Phase 2 period, including narrative and financial aspects.
- Facilitate project monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) activities.
- Contribute insights to relevant concept notes, terms of reference, and proposals for project-related activities.
- Execute additional duties aligned with advancing the goals of the Child Friendly Cities initiative in Da Nang.

- The consultant will primarily work remotely but will need to attend relevant meetings and events in Da Nang. The position is part-time, and the consultant will be compensated with an all-inclusive lump-sum fee that covers consultancy fees, travel costs, and communication expenses.
