Job Overview:
The role of the Online Video Editor Volunteer is crucial for the Southern Africa Embrace Foundation as it focuses on enhancing the organization's online presence through engaging video content. Volunteers will collaborate with the social media team to produce high-quality videos that will be utilized for social media events and marketing campaigns. The expectation is to create impactful stories that resonate with the audience and promote the foundation's initiatives. Volunteers will be responsible for editing one video per week, ensuring that the content is visually appealing and effectively communicates the intended message. The videos will typically be short, lasting less than 10 minutes, and will incorporate motion graphics, animations, and soundtracks to enhance storytelling. The content for these videos will be provided by the social media team, allowing volunteers to focus on the creative editing process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the social media team to understand the vision and objectives for each video project.
• Edit one video per week, ensuring it meets the quality standards set by the organization.
• Incorporate motion graphics, animations, and soundtracks into the videos to create engaging content.
• Utilize provided content effectively to tell impactful stories that align with the foundation's mission.
• Attend weekly team meetings held on Wednesdays at 10 am EST to discuss progress, receive feedback, and align on upcoming projects.
• Ensure timely delivery of video edits to meet the organization's marketing and event schedules.
• Stay updated on current trends in video editing and social media to enhance the quality and relevance of the content produced.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of motion graphics and animation techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with the social media team.
• A passion for storytelling and a commitment to the mission of the Southern Africa Embrace Foundation.
• Previous experience in video editing or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

Educational Background:

Experience:
