Job Overview: The Child ProtectionResource MobilizationVolunteer will play a crucial role in UNICEF Angola's efforts to secure funding for child protection initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities:
Donor Mapping and Pipeline Development: Identify and monitor potential funding opportunities from various sources, including bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, and private sector partners. Develop and maintain a funding pipeline that aligns with UNICEF’s Country Program and the priorities of the Child Protection Section. Create and manage a funding opportunity tracker to ensure timely follow-up on potential grants.
Proposal and Project Development: Lead the drafting and coordination of concept notes and full proposals, ensuring that they incorporate gender equality, disability considerations, and child rights-based approaches. Collaborate with internal teams to develop budgets that reflect programmatic needs and UNICEF values.
Donor Engagement and Advocacy: Prepare engaging donor briefs and presentations to effectively communicate project ideas and secure funding. Support donor communication efforts by preparing reports, success stories, and advocacy notes that highlight the impact of UNICEF’s work on children, particularly adolescent girls.
Grant Management and Knowledge Sharing: Ensure smooth start-up and handover of new grants, maintaining clear deliverables for the Child Protection Section.
