Job Overview:
The Development and Operations Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the development and operations functions within the IRC Wichita office. This position involves providing essential administrative support that contributes to a well-functioning and compliant environment for staff, clients, and partners. The role is designed for individuals who possess strong organizational skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and personal initiative. The assistant will work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment, requiring adaptability and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. The position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including logistical support for events, coordination of office operations, and maintenance of office inventory, all aimed at enhancing the overall efficiency of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Development and Operations Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: providing general administrative and clerical support; assisting with the logistics and planning of volunteer and community engagement events; coordinating invitations, tracking RSVPs, preparing event materials, and following up with participants; attending events to provide onsite support as needed; supporting the Administrative Assistant in managing reception materials and answering client inquiries; maintaining a neat and professional reception area; liaising with office and equipment maintenance providers; assisting with front desk coverage; implementing office-specific resources; maintaining digital and physical files for office inventory; supporting inventory needs, including contributions-in-kind and procured inventory; assisting with fleet management; coordinating repairs and improvements with vendors; setting up workspaces; and planning and coordinating office events and meetings.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Development and Operations Assistant position should possess one or more years of relevant work experience in office administration, facilities management, procurement, or a related field. A high school diploma is required. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized self-starter with demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential. Candidates should also exhibit strong organizational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a demanding environment.
