Additionally, the volunteer will participate in partner events, assist in daily communication with the Child Rights Monitoring team, support documentation exercises, and aid in communication and visibility efforts.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills, with a commitment to children's rights and development. They should be adaptable, flexible, and willing to learn continuously. A background in social sciences, public policy, or a related field is preferred, along with experience in data analysis and program evaluation. The ability to work collaboratively in teams and engage with diverse stakeholders is essential.
Educational Background: A degree in social sciences, public policy, international relations, or a related field is required. Advanced degrees or specialized training in child rights, monitoring, and evaluation would be advantageous.
Experience: Candidates should have relevant experience in child rights monitoring, data analysis, or program evaluation. Experience working with international organizations, government agencies, or civil society organizations in a similar capacity is highly desirable. Familiarity with the context of Kazakhstan and its policies regarding children's rights will be beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of Russian or Kazakh is considered an asset. Proficiency in additional languages may enhance a candidate's profile.
Additional Notes: This position is a volunteer role under the UNV program, which may have specific contract durations and conditions. The role is full-time and based in Astana, Kazakhstan, which is a family duty station.
