Job Overview:
The Programme Associate (G6) position in Hpa-An Field Unit is designed for individuals with a strong background in programme management and operational management cycles. The role requires the candidate to support the assessment and analysis of the needs of persons of concern, ensuring that the planning process is inclusive and considers the perspectives of various demographics, including age, gender, and diversity. The Programme Associate will assist in managing partnerships, ensuring that agreements are established and monitored effectively. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Programme Associate include supporting the assessment and analysis of the needs of persons of concern, managing the development of a network of partners, organizing and documenting the selection of partners, providing technical advice to ensure compliance with partnership agreements, and supporting the implementation and performance of these agreements. The Programme Associate will also contribute to the review and analysis of operations plans and reports, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with established policies. Additionally, the role involves following up on changes in the results chain, verifying indicators and budgets, and providing support through technical advice and training on resource allocation processes. The incumbent will utilize UNHCR's corporate tools for planning, budgeting, implementation, and reporting, and will be responsible for identifying and managing risks that may impact objectives in their area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Programme Associate position include a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in programme management or operational management. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education. Certification and demonstrated experience in Programme Management and related processes are essential. Familiarity with displacement contexts, access monitoring, and protection principles is preferred. Candidates should also have strong analytical and statistical skills, with experience in results-based management tools being highly desirable. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required, and fluency in local languages is considered an advantage.

Educational Background:
Candidates applying for the Programme Associate position should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher education. While specific fields of education are not specified, a background in social sciences, international relations, or a related field would be beneficial. Completion of UNHCR Learning Programmes or specific training relevant to the function of the position, including Programme Management Level 1, is desirable.
