Job Overview:
The Project Officer position at UNESCO IITE is pivotal in leading the implementation of various projects aimed at transforming higher education through digital technologies. Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Education, Social Sciences, International Development, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), or a related field. Additionally, applicants should have at least two years of relevant professional experience in the application of digital technologies in education, demonstrating a strong background in education project management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with government entities, international organizations, and development partners, showcasing their ability to navigate complex educational landscapes.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes an advanced university degree, such as a Master's degree or its equivalent, in fields related to education, social sciences, international development, or information and communication technology. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of digital transformation in educational settings and for effectively managing projects that aim to enhance educational practices through technology.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in the field of digital technologies in education. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in managing educational projects, particularly those that involve collaboration with government counterparts and international organizations. This experience is crucial for ensuring that the Project Officer can effectively lead initiatives that require coordination among multiple stakeholders and adherence to international standards.
Languages:
Fluency in both Russian and English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. This bilingual proficiency is essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders, including local partners and international organizations. While fluency in other languages may be beneficial, it is not a requirement for this role.
Additional Notes:
This position is a full-time assignment under the UNESCO Service Contract modality, adhering to the official working hours of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education in Moscow. The initial contract duration is from 7 to 11 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. A three-month probation period will be applied to the selected candidate. The estimated monthly salary for this position is approximately 276,500 RUB, with additional benefits including pension contributions and medical insurance. Service Contract holders are entitled to paid annual leave, sick leave, and other benefits as per UNESCO policies. The recruitment process is open to external candidates, specifically nationals of the Russian Federation.

- Developing communication materials to support local and international initiatives in ICT education.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisors to support the overall mission of UNESCO IITE.
