Duties and Responsibilities:
The Platform Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
  • Administering, maintaining, and optimizing SAP BW on HANA environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Managing platform upgrades, patches, and performance tuning while planning for capacity needs.
  • Supporting critical financial and operational reporting processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to define solutions that drive continuous improvement in platform performance.
  • Providing technical guidance and knowledge sharing within the platform engineering and analytics delivery teams.
  • Managing enterprise data integrations involving SAP BW, SAP ECC, and SAP BODS, ensuring seamless data movement and processing.
  • Supporting incident response and root cause analysis for any platform-related issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with security, audit, and data governance requirements, participating in vulnerability remediation and platform hardening activities.
  • Engaging in Agile delivery practices, participating in SAFe Agile ceremonies, and contributing to backlog refinement and technical roadmap planning.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong foundation in enterprise data platforms, particularly with SAP BW and related technologies. A Master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics platforms, or related fields is required. Additionally, candidates should have experience in supporting enterprise-scale analytics and reporting platforms, as well as familiarity with cloud data platform technologies and analytics modernization.

Educational Background:
The educational requirements for this position include a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related discipline, along with 5 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a similar field with at least 8 years of relevant experience is acceptable. This educational background ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in the role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in enterprise data platforms, particularly with SAP BW on HANA.
