Job Overview:
The position of National Consultant to Provide Capacity Building on Crisis Management involves delivering tailored training courses aimed at enhancing the leadership skills of women in public administration and politics, as well as in the private sector. The consultant will develop methodologies that cover various topics, including transformative leadership, crisis management, and safe leadership practices. The role is crucial in addressing the under-representation of women in decision-making roles and aims to empower women leaders by equipping them with the necessary skills and confidence to navigate challenges in their respective fields. The consultant will work closely with UN Women and other experts to ensure that the training aligns with international standards and best practices, ultimately contributing to the broader goal of gender equality and women's empowerment in Moldova.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be responsible for developing learning modules and methodologies on crisis leadership and safe leadership in politics, ensuring alignment with international standards and national legislation. They will deliver at least six training sessions on crisis leadership, conduct pre- and post-training assessments, and provide individual mentoring sessions as needed. The consultant will also be tasked with creating a Final Report summarizing the lessons learned and recommendations for future capacity-building opportunities. Collaboration with UN Women and other consultants is essential for the successful completion of these tasks, which may evolve based on specific service requests during the contract period.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in fields such as Political Science, Public Administration, Gender Studies, or related areas. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Certification in leadership development or project management is considered an asset. The consultant should have a strong background in designing and delivering training programs focused on leadership for women in public roles, particularly in crisis management and decision-making contexts.

Educational Background:
A Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields is required, with a first-level university degree acceptable if accompanied by additional qualifying experience. Relevant certifications in leadership development or project management are advantageous.

Experience:
At least five years of proven experience in designing and delivering training methodologies for women in leadership roles is required. Experience in developing curricula and working with governmental or international organizations on women's political participation is essential. Familiarity with crisis governance and resilience is a plus, as is experience with UN organizations.

Languages:
Fluency in Romanian and English is mandatory. Knowledge of any other UN official language is considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This consultancy is home-based, with no travel anticipated unless unforeseen circumstances arise. The consultant will be compensated on a per-day basis, with payments contingent upon satisfactory completion of services and approval of deliverables.
