Job Overview:
The ICLA Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the ICLA project in North-East Ukraine, specifically overseeing the team and activities in Kharkiv and Sumska oblasts. The role involves developing and implementing plans to enhance team capacity, facilitate skill transfer, and improve the delivery of ICLA services. The coordinator will ensure that legal assistance and training are provided in accordance with NRC strategies and standards, focusing on the needs of the most vulnerable beneficiaries. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing legal protection needs, as well as fostering collaboration with local authorities and stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The ICLA Project Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including adherence to NRC policies and procedures, contributing to the development of ICLA strategies and project proposals, and managing the implementation of ICLA projects. Specific duties include overseeing the provision of legal services, ensuring projects target beneficiaries in need, promoting improvements in activities, supervising the ICLA team, and conducting field visits to assess needs and challenges. The coordinator will also monitor project performance, assist in developing reporting templates, support proposal writing, and facilitate trainings and workshops. Regular progress updates and proper documentation are essential components of this role, along with performing additional tasks as requested by management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant job experience, preferably within the humanitarian sector. Documented results related to the position's responsibilities are essential, along with proven experience in coordinating activities and liaising with external actors. Previous experience in complex and volatile contexts is required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Candidates should have an upper-intermediate level of English proficiency, both written and spoken. Knowledge of legal frameworks for displaced persons and international human rights law is crucial, along with in-depth knowledge of the context in Ukraine. Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian languages is mandatory, and experience with the start-up of legal protection programs is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in law, human rights, international relations, political sciences, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has a solid understanding of the legal frameworks and principles that govern the rights of displaced persons and the humanitarian context in which NRC operates.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within the humanitarian sector. Candidates should have a proven track record of coordinating activities and working with external stakeholders, as well as experience in managing projects in complex environments. Familiarity with legal protection programs and the specific challenges faced by displaced populations is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian is mandatory for this position, as these languages are essential for effective communication with beneficiaries and stakeholders in the region. Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level is also required, as it is necessary for documentation, reporting, and collaboration with international teams.

This position is open to candidates who have the legal right to work in Ukraine. It is important to note that NRC is unable to provide work permits or visa sponsorships for this role. The position may involve working in insecure environments and requires strong resource management skills to optimize results. The role is full-time and may involve travel within the operational areas.
