Focus on our activities in UKRAINE

PUI intervenes in Ukraine since 2015, in response to the needs provoked by the conflict in Donbass. PUI develops its integrated approach with health, mental health, protection and WASH projects to improve and restore equitable access to quality Health Services as well as to water, sanitation and hygiene for the most vulnerable population living in cities located along the contact line in the Donetsk Oblast. PUI also technically and materially assists a large network of Health Facilities and social institutions to improve the quality of care provided to the population. In order to support the populations affected by the conflict currently affecting the country, PUI is currently scaling up its activities in Donbass and in other regions of Ukraine.

What about the Supply Chain Manager ?

As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for leading the supply chain branch / unit. You will ensure the Coordination, implementation and smooth running of the administrative and operational aspects of the supply chain at the mission level. The supply chain covers the purchase, transport, custom clearance and storage fields.

For this purpose, you will be responsible for :

  • Supply chain coordination: You will highly contribute in the implementation, respect of process, responsibilities, tools, procedures linked with donors as well as PUI rules and best practices.
  • Operational and administrative principles and standards implementation: You will ensure that both operational and administrative prerequisite, principles of the supply chain are considered, implemented and monitored. You will make sure that the defined procurement pipeline is well dimensioned, answering to the needs and maintained active, efficient.
  • Team management: You will be responsible for the tailoring of your team, and the validation of their job description. You will also be responsible for the line management of supply chain staff in accordance with related HR policies and procedures, including recruitment and performance appraisal.
  • Reporting and communication: You will centralize and disseminate supply chain information at the mission level, consolidate the internal reporting and communicate it on time to the logistics Coordinator.

The challenges that await you :

-Design and implement the supply strategy for the Ukrainian mission in collaboration with the logistics coordinator and the base logisticians -Carry out, in collaboration with the headquarters and the mission, the international and national procurement of the projects implemented, with a focus on medical procurement -Anticipate, plan and implement in collaboration with program teams the purchases planned for the different projects, especially for BHA consortium - Recruit, integrate and train the supply team members under his/her responsibility

What you will need to succeed

  • Training: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master‘s degree in Supply Chain Management (purchase, transport, storage), in Logistics and Procurement or in a similar relevant field
  • Experience: You are strengthened by minimum 3 years in the humanitarian sector, by an experience in Supply Chain Management (humanitarian or private sector) and in team management. You already worked with Première Urgence Internationale? It would be a definite asset!
  • Skills: You master project management, you demonstrate strong writing, programmatic, financial and organizational planning skills.
  • Qualities: You are able to take responsibility in a proactive approach, with good priority management. You have the ability to negotiate, strong leadership, analytical and training skills. You also demonstrate organization, rigor, adaptability, flexibility and the capacity to withstand pressure and stress.
  • Languages: English has no secrets for you! All the better, it is mandatory for this position. If you speak Russian, Ukrainian and/or French, it would be a definite asset.

PUI will offer you

  • Status : Employee with a Fixed-Term Contract
  • Monthly Gross Income : 2,190.00 - 2,420.00 EUR depending on your experience in International Solidarity + 50€ per semester of seniority with PUI
  • Insurance including medical coverage and complementary healthcare, 24/24 assistance and repatriation
  • Housing in collective accomodation
  • Daily Living Expenses ("Per Diem")
  • Break Policy : 5 working days at 3 and 9 months + break allowance
  • Paid Leaves Policy : 5 weeks of paid leaves per year + return ticket every 6 months
