Job Overview:
The Responsable Relations Bailleurs is responsible for implementing ALIMA's funding strategy in line with the country action plan. This role involves mobilizing funds for project implementation, maintaining regular communication with donors, and actively seeking new funding opportunities. The position requires a strong understanding of donor strategies and the ability to adapt funding strategies based on operational needs. The role also includes writing project proposals and reports for donors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and supporting project coordinators in meeting donor requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze donor strategies and funding availability to maintain high levels of information and understanding of funding issues.
- Identify funding needs in collaboration with the Coordination-team" id="link" class="link">Coordination Team and propose relevant funding strategies.
- Maintain relationships with donors, ensuring quality communication and coordinating donor visits to projects.
- Conduct active funding searches and identify new donors to enhance ALIMA's visibility and project understanding.
- Support project coordinators in designing interventions aligned with donor priorities.
- Write and submit project proposals and concept notes within donor deadlines, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Update the coordination team on donor guidelines and assist project coordinators in meeting contractual requirements.
- Develop Monitoring and Reporting tools to ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements.
- Produce accurate and analytical narrative reports for donors, ensuring deadlines are met. 1
- Manage funding contracts and ensure adherence to donor procedures. 1
- Participate in training and awareness sessions on abuse prevention standards and contribute to a protective environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (development studies, public health, International Relations, project management, etc.).
- Excellent proficiency in English and French, both spoken and written.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools (project cycle, logical framework, project proposals, reporting, etc.).
- At least one year of professional experience in reporting, project Design, and/or management, along with field experience.
- Excellent analytical, synthesis, and writing skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and communicate effectively within a team.
- Strong motivation to achieve project support objectives and alignment with ALIMA's values and mission.
Educational Background:
A Master's degree or equivalent in fields such as development studies, public health, international relations, or project management is required for this position.
Experience:
The position requires at least one year of professional experience in reporting, project design, and/or management, along with field experience to ensure a practical understanding of the challenges faced in humanitarian settings.
Languages:
Fluency in both English and French is mandatory for this role, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages being essential.
Additional Notes:
The contract type is a fixed-term contract (CDD) under French Law, lasting for 6 months. The salary is based on ALIMA's salary scale (level 10), with additional compensation for experience and per diem. ALIMA covers travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the mission location, accommodation costs, medical coverage from the first day of the contract until one month after departure from the mission country for the employee and their dependents, and evacuation for the employee and their dependents. The desired start date is as soon as possible.
