Internship TITLE: Global Treasury Intern


DATES OF INTERNSHIP: July 2023 - October 2023

HOURS PER WEEK: 25 - 40 hours per week (Full-Time)



Mercy Corps responsibilities

For the duration of this internship assignment the intern will receive:

  • Training and supervisory support
  • Mercy Corps Laptop
  • Access to Mercy Corps online tools
  • All other tools, materials and communication requirements for this project

    Intern responsibilities

    Intern will remain responsible for all costs associated with:

      In support of the mission, the Global Treasury team is responsible for maintaining our liquidity position, Banking relationships, and insurance programs.

      The Global Treasury Intern will support the Treasury Supervisor and Global Treasurer with various Analysis projects.


      The intern will gain exposure to a global non-profit organization and the supporting operations. They will expand their learning and understanding of treasury operations within a global company.


      • Conduct analysis (i.e. foreign exchange rates received globally, cash requests against expenses, and forecasts against actuals.
      • Support the Design and creation of Accounts Receivable aging reports and revenue to cash flow reports
      • Assist with annualizing cash forecast in alignment with annual budgets
      • Assist with treasury data migration
      • Assist with the daily treasury activities (i.e. Cash Management, risk management, and funding management)


        • University degree in progress or recently completed (within 1 year) in relevant discipline
        • Strong interest in treasury and corporate finance field
        • Strong experience with MS Excel
