Job Overview:
The Financial Analyst position within the OECD's Executive Directorate (EXD) is crucial for supporting the Data & Regulatory Framework team in managing key corporate projects and initiatives. The role involves working independently and collaboratively with various EXD/PBF teams, reporting directly to the Head of Data and Regulatory Framework. The selected candidate will be responsible for drafting financial policies, developing training materials, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. This position requires a proactive approach to financial management and a commitment to enhancing the organization's capacity-building efforts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will undertake a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Drafting and updating financial policies and procedures in collaboration with EXD/PBF teams, identifying risks, and providing recommendations for sound financial management practices.
- Developing and maintaining training materials on essential financial processes to support the organization's capacity-building initiatives.
- Conducting financial analyses and costings to address emerging issues and organizational priorities, ensuring Data Quality for accurate reporting.
- Collecting, analyzing, and presenting relevant data from corporate systems to facilitate informed management decisions, utilizing Design and Data Visualization techniques.
- Drafting concise briefing notes and reports for senior management to address key issues.
- Documenting services and pricing calculations, preparing evaluations of service costs, and identifying opportunities for process enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in financial management, business Administration, data and statistics, public policy, or a related discipline. Additionally, they should have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an international context. Strong drafting and editing skills are essential, along with experience in providing written financial guidance and analyses. The ability to analyze complex financial information, identify problems, and propose alternatives to reduce operational risk is crucial. Candidates should demonstrate a data-driven mindset, proficiency in data visualization and analysis, and excellent interpersonal skills.
Educational Background:
A university degree in financial management, business administration, data and statistics, public policy, or other related disciplines is required. Candidates with degrees in STEM and Data Science disciplines are also encouraged to apply, as these backgrounds can provide valuable insights into Financial Analysis and management.
Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an international setting. Languages:
