Job Overview:
The Coordination Analyst position at UN Women Jordan involves supporting the organization's role in leading inter-agency coordination to promote gender equality and women's empowerment. The role requires collaboration with various UN development and humanitarian coordination structures, focusing on implementing the UN Jordan SWAP Scorecard recommendations and identifying opportunities for joint initiatives. The analyst will also coordinate UN Women’s participation in the UNCT Results Group and support Gender Mainstreaming in the UNCT Joint Work Plan. This position is crucial for advancing the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security agenda and ensuring that gender equality is integrated into the Syrian refugee response. The analyst will work closely with the Country Representative and Deputy Representative, contributing to annual planning and reporting cycles, and will be involved in strategic planning and resource mobilization efforts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The UN Volunteer will provide Technical Support to the Country Representative and the Jordan Country Office on inter-agency coordination, including leading logistical organization for Gender Theme Group meetings, overseeing the System Wide Action Plan Gender Equality Score Card review, and coordinating the implementation of the SWAP action plan. The analyst will also support strategic planning for the Jordan Country Office by providing inputs on concept notes and country programming processes. Additionally, the role involves developing strategic partnerships and resource mobilization efforts, supporting advocacy and communication initiatives related to gender equality, and facilitating knowledge building and sharing within the organization. The analyst will also engage in activities that promote volunteerism and Community Engagement, contributing to the overall mission of UN Women.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Coordination Analyst position should possess strong technical skills in inter-agency coordination and gender equality advocacy. They should have experience in project management, strategic planning, and resource mobilization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. A strong understanding of gender issues and the UN system is essential, along with the capacity to analyze and report on progress in gender equality initiatives.

Educational Background:
A relevant educational background is required for this position, typically including a degree in social sciences, International Relations, gender studies, or a related field. Advanced degrees may be preferred, particularly for candidates seeking to engage in high-level strategic planning and coordination efforts.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in gender equality, women's empowerment, or related fields. Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is highly desirable, as is familiarity with the Jordanian context and the challenges faced by women and girls in the region. Previous involvement in inter-agency coordination and project management will be advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, while proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly for candidates engaging with diverse communities and stakeholders.
