Job Overview:
The position of Consultant for the Annual Meeting Organization is crucial for the successful planning and execution of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of AIIB. This role involves leading and supporting various aspects of event programming, including the Design and development of public seminars that align with the Annual Meeting's main theme. The consultant will be responsible for providing guidance on content, format, and speaker selection for these seminars, ensuring high-quality delivery and engagement. The consultant will also coordinate with the communication team to promote the Annual Meeting and maintain regular communication with seminar focal persons to facilitate information sharing and implementation. Additionally, the consultant will participate in the Annual Meeting, supervising onsite implementation and ensuring that all designated areas are managed effectively. The role requires multitasking and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, making it essential for the consultant to be organized and proactive in their approach.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: leading the design and development of public seminar programs, providing guidance on themes and content, researching and inviting relevant speakers, coordinating with the communication team for promotional activities, maintaining communication with seminar focal persons, managing Logistics for side events and exhibitions, evaluating seminar feedback, and preparing post-event reports. The consultant will also be expected to prepare action plans and timelines, participate in Coordination meetings, conduct onsite meetings and visits, and ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines. Furthermore, the consultant will be responsible for sharing knowledge and skills with junior staff and contributing innovative ideas to enhance team professionalism.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position must possess a Master's degree in a relevant field from a reputable university. They should have excellent English speaking and writing capabilities, along with effective communication skills. A strong analytical background and a sufficient understanding of international development, diplomacy, and infrastructure investment are essential. The candidate should also have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in events management and public communications, with a proven track record of success. Experience working with international organizations or multinational corporations is preferred, as it will provide valuable insights into the complexities of organizing large-scale events.

Educational Background:
Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a relevant area, such as International Relations, public Administration, Event Management, or a related field. The degree should be obtained from a reputable university, ensuring that the candidate has a solid academic foundation to support their professional expertise in the role.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required for this position. This experience should be specifically in events management and public communications, demonstrating the candidate's ability to manage complex projects and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Proven experience in organizing large-scale events, particularly in an international context, will be highly advantageous.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent speaking and writing skills required for effective communication. Additional Notes:
The consultant is expected to work onsite at AIIB's headquarters in Beijing, China. The position may involve collaboration with various teams, including AIIB staff, individual consultants, assistants, and volunteers. The Corporate Secretariat will provide all necessary documents and data to facilitate the consultant's work, along with administrative and IT support. The bank will cover mission travel costs as per relevant policies. The consultant must ensure that all Annual Meeting-related data and records are transferred to AIIB upon completion of the assignment, ensuring continuity and knowledge transfer.
