Job Overview: The Senior Assistant for Project Management Support will assist in the effective implementation of the project by supporting the organization of working documents, systematizing inputs, and systematizing the development of programmatic activities. The role involves providing operational and logistical support necessary for the project’s implementation, which includes organizing technical, legal, and analytical documents related to law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">criminal law, drug-related crime, organized crime, synthetic drugs, new psychoactive substances, chemical precursors, and essential chemicals. The assistant will also contribute to the organization of technical inputs to support decision-making for the project, including conceptual notes, minutes, matrices, reports, working documents, technical sheets, presentations, and training materials. Furthermore, the assistant will support the systematic review and analysis of normative, administrative, and operational tools aimed at strengthening the control of chemical precursors and the judicial response to drug-related crime.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support in the organization/systematization of technical-legal documents and production: Assist in organizing technical, legal, and analytical documents related to criminal law, drug-related crime, organized crime, synthetic drugs, new psychoactive substances, chemical precursors, and essential chemicals. Systematize regulations, administrative precedents, jurisprudence, institutional information, and best practices related to the investigation and prosecution of crimes associated with organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, and the diversion of chemical precursors. Contribute to the organization of technical inputs to support project decision-making, including conceptual notes, minutes, matrices, reports, working documents, technical sheets, presentations, and training materials. Support the systematization of the review and analysis of normative, administrative, and operational tools aimed at strengthening the control of chemical precursors and the judicial response to drug-related crime.
Support training activities in technical assistance and institutional articulation: Assist in monitoring and scheduling training activities, technical assistance, workshops, technical meetings, and inter-institutional articulation spaces developed within the project framework. Assist in the logistics and follow-up of activities with authorities from security, criminal justice, prosecutor's offices, security forces, control agencies, customs, laboratories, and other competent institutions. Provide support to the Coordination in taking minutes on planning meetings and follow-up activities aimed at meeting the specific objectives of the project and the needs of counterparts. Prepare minutes, records, lists of commitments, activity reports, and follow-up documents derived from meetings, workshops, training sessions, and coordination spaces.
Follow-up on the systematization of information and reports: Support the systematization of project activities, including progress, results, products, commitments, and deliverables related to criminal justice, chemical precursors, and drug-related crime. Keep matrices, databases, document repositories, and technical follow-up tools updated concerning regulations, institutional actors, training activities, produced inputs, and commitments made. Assist the technical team in preparing follow-up reports to document actions, goals, results, and deliverables executed for the benefit of national and regional authorities under supervision.
Operational support and other tasks related to the project: Assist in operational and management activities necessary for implementing project actions, in coordination with the technical, administrative, and financial team. Interact with thematic units, transversal areas, and counterparts to facilitate the organization of activities within agreed deadlines. Contribute to preparing agendas, reference documents, notes, meeting inputs, and support materials for national, subnational, or regional activities. Support the organization of agendas or meetings for coordination with public authorities and specialized agencies with competence in criminal justice, drug-related crime, chemical precursor control, organized crime, and related offenses.
Required Qualifications: Required: Completed secondary education or equivalent, with at least five (5) years of relevant experience in supporting criminal justice projects, public security, drug control, chemical precursors, organized crime, or related areas. A bachelor's degree or equivalent in Law, Legal Studies, Political Science, International Relations, Criminology, Security, Government, or related fields, with at least one (1) year of relevant experience. Desired: Postgraduate studies, master's degree, specialization, or additional training in Criminal Law, Penal Sciences, Criminal Procedure Law, Criminology, Criminal Policy, Drug-related Crime, Chemical Precursors, drug control, or organized crime.

Experience in using productivity software tools, including Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook – or equivalent tools. Desired: Experience in assisting legal-penal advice, drafting sanctioning administrative acts, normative projects, or analyzing regulatory frameworks related to chemical precursors or drug-related crime. Experience in supporting inspections, procedures, raids, administrative oversight, or legal-operational support in investigations related to drugs, chemical precursors, or related offenses. Teaching experience, training, or technical presentation in drug trafficking, chemical precursors, essential chemicals, new psychoactive substances, or designer drugs. Experience working in public agencies, specialized government authorities, international organizations, cooperation projects, or institutions related to criminal justice, security, or drug control.
Languages: Mandatory: Native Spanish. Basic English is desirable.
