Job Overview:
The Supply & Logistics Associate G6 position at UNICEF involves a range of responsibilities aimed at ensuring effective supply chain management and logistics operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Supply & Logistics Associate include:

• Planning and executing procurement and contracting processes to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
• Managing in-country logistics operations, including transportation and distribution of supplies.
• Overseeing warehousing and inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Collaborating with partners and stakeholders to coordinate logistics and supply chain activities.
• Strengthening national and government supply chains through effective supply chain management practices.
• Implementing alternative delivery mechanisms and procurement services to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Preparing for emergencies by ensuring that logistics and supply chains are resilient and responsive.
• Managing information and data related to supply chain operations and reporting on performance metrics.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of UNICEF.

Required Qualifications:
To qualify for the position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• Secondary Education in a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in supply management, logistics, procurement, contract management, vendor management, warehousing, inventory management, customs clearance, supply chain planning, data analysis, or emergency logistics.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Excel, and MS Word.
• Strong planning and organizing skills, along with analytical thinking capabilities.
• A commitment to UNICEF's core values of care, respect, integrity, trust, accountability, and sustainability.

Educational Background:
Candidates are required to have completed secondary education in any related field. Additional certifications or training in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement would be advantageous and may enhance a candidate's application.

Experience:
The position requires at least 6 years of relevant work experience in various aspects of supply chain management, including logistics, procurement, and contract management. Experience in emergency logistics and working in development or humanitarian contexts is highly desirable, particularly in fragile settings.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, with candidates expected to demonstrate fluent communication skills. Knowledge of another official UN language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish, or a local language is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's profile.
