Job Overview:
The UN DESA Intern position is an opportunity for individuals to engage in meaningful work within the Division for Inclusive Social Development (DISD). The intern will work closely with the Public Information Officer and will be expected to assist in research, content creation, and event preparations, thereby gaining valuable experience in international relations and public communication.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern's responsibilities will include researching and monitoring developments related to inclusive social development, producing and updating digital content for DISD's platforms, and supporting preparations for major events such as the 65th session of the Commission for Social Development and the 20th session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The intern will also assist in drafting and publishing news stories, preparing public information materials, and evaluating the impact of communications activities. Additional tasks may involve monitoring social media engagement and contributing ideas to enhance DISD's outreach efforts.

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet specific educational criteria, including being enrolled in or having completed a graduate program or being in the final year of a bachelor's degree program. While professional work experience is not mandatory, a relevant field of study is essential. This ensures that candidates possess the necessary academic background to contribute effectively to the internship.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a strong academic foundation, ideally holding or pursuing a degree in fields related to social development, international relations, communications, or a similar discipline. Proof of enrollment or completion of the required educational program must be provided during the application process.

Experience:
