Job Overview:
The Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the green mobilization function within the Policy, Research and Partnerships (PRP) team of the Climate Strategy and Delivery department. This position is integral to the effective implementation of the Bank's Green Economy Transition (GET) 2030 Strategy, focusing primarily on the delivery of EU funding and instruments, particularly the InvestEU Programme. The Analyst will provide analytical, operational, and coordination support across various EU-related workstreams, contributing to the development, implementation, and monitoring of InvestEU operations. Key responsibilities include supporting project submissions, conducting sustainability assessments, fulfilling reporting requirements, and ensuring high-quality project delivery through internal processes. The role demands strong analytical capabilities, excellent presentation skills, and a solid understanding of climate and sustainability policy, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with EU programmes and regulatory frameworks is considered advantageous, as the Analyst will engage with various partners and contribute to the overall success of the Bank's green initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst's responsibilities are categorized into three main areas: Project preparation and operational support, content development and stakeholder engagement, and operational support, reporting, and data management. In project preparation, the Analyst will contribute to the coordination of project applications for the InvestEU Investment Committee, including drafting submissions and addressing follow-up queries. They will develop high-quality presentations and analytical materials for InvestEU-related meetings and ensure alignment with EBRD policy objectives. In content development, the Analyst will assist in creating additionality narratives that support the use of InvestEU guarantees and provide analytical input for European Commission requests. They will also engage with financial institutions and EU stakeholders to support the InvestEU pipeline. For operational support, the Analyst will prepare internal and external reports on InvestEU and Green Mobilisation activities, maintain internal databases, and improve data management systems. The Analyst is expected to proactively learn about other green policies and mobilization instruments of the Bank to enhance operations and contribute to the broader mandate of the Climate Strategy and Delivery department.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess relevant academic degrees and professional experiences that combine strong financial, business, and economics training with knowledge of climate and environmental policy and sustainable finance. Familiarity with EU policy frameworks is desirable. The role requires strong analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to interpret regulatory and technical documents. Experience in development finance, donor-funded programmes, or blended finance instruments is essential. Candidates should also have a sound understanding of international environmental and social standards, such as the Paris Agreement and TCFD. The ability to operate consistently within business guidelines and ethics, work sensitively in multicultural environments, and build effective working relationships is crucial. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary to convey information accurately and concisely to various audiences. Self-motivation, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and effective planning and organization skills are also important.

Educational Background:
A relevant academic degree in finance, economics, environmental science, or a related field is required. Candidates should have a strong foundation in analysis" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">financial analysis, business principles, and sustainable finance, complemented by knowledge of climate and environmental policies. Advanced degrees or certifications in these areas may be advantageous.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in development finance, sustainable finance, or related fields. Experience working with EU funding mechanisms, donor-funded programmes, or blended finance instruments is highly desirable. Familiarity with project management and stakeholder engagement processes is also beneficial.

Languages:
Fluency in English is essential, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of additional languages from the EBRD region is considered advantageous, as it may enhance communication with diverse stakeholders and partners.

This position is a fixed-term contract lasting for 2 years. The EBRD promotes a flexible working environment, expecting employees to attend the office 50% of their working time.
