Job Overview: The Senior Workday Specialist, Recruiting & Talent is a pivotal role within the global HR team at WRI, responsible for the functional ownership of Workday's Recruiting and Talent modules across various country offices including Africa, Brazil, China, Colombia, Europe, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and the US. This position requires a hands-on approach to design, troubleshoot, and continuously improve the Workday system, ensuring it effectively supports the organization's hiring and talent management processes. The role involves close collaboration with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and regional HR Business Partners to translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions. The Senior Workday Specialist will also drive optimization and adoption of Recruiting and Talent processes, ensuring alignment with global standards while accommodating local requirements. Flexibility in working hours is essential to support users across multiple global time zones, particularly with significant overlap with European working hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the Workday Recruiting module end-to-end, including job requisitions, evergreen requisitions, job postings, career sites, candidate configurations, offer workflows, and interview workflows.
Oversee the Workday Talent Optimization module, focusing on goals, performance management, and reporting, with plans to expand into succession planning and talent reviews.
Maintain business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, and dashboards for both modules, ensuring they meet global standards and local needs.
Identify opportunities for system optimization, automation, and process simplification, leveraging the latest Workday features.
Lead the bi-annual Workday release cycle for the Recruiting and Talent modules, assessing new features, planning adoption, executing regression testing, and communicating changes to HR users.
Create and maintain training documentation, business process workbooks, and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security models for the modules.
Partner with Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and regional HRBPs to gather requirements and configure solutions that respect local nuances while maintaining a global model.
Support integrations between Workday and the recruiting ecosystem, ensuring functional alignment with IT on technical builds.
Provide expert support across global offices, troubleshooting and resolving complex configuration and functional issues in collaboration with Global IT and external vendors. 1
Produce and maintain training materials and run sessions for country HR teams as new features or processes are rolled out.
Workday Pro certification in Recruiting and/or Talent is preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration and business process framework, with at least 3 years focused on Recruiting and Talent modules.
Subject-matter expertise in configuring job posting templates, career sites, and candidate workflows.
Strong knowledge of Workday calculated fields as applied to Recruiting and Talent.
Experience supporting HR teams across multiple countries and time zones, balancing global standards with local requirements.
Proven track record in contributing to Workday transformation, optimization, or release projects.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach.
Strong partner engagement skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 1

Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Candidates with relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Workday Pro certification in Recruiting and/or Talent is preferred, indicating a recognized level of expertise in the Workday system.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration and business process frameworks, with at least 3 years specifically focused on the Recruiting and Talent modules. This experience should include subject-matter expertise in configuring various aspects of the Workday system, such as job posting templates and candidate workflows, as well as a strong understanding of the complexities involved in supporting HR teams across multiple countries and time zones.
Languages: Verbal and written proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. While not required, exposure to adjacent Workday modules and familiarity with ATS-adjacent tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter would be advantageous. Additionally, experience with EIB and basic integration troubleshooting is considered a plus.
Additional Notes: This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of eight days per month in the office, with expectations to work in the office at least four days per week during the probation period. The role is based in New Delhi, and applicants must have existing work authorization in India at the time of application. The potential salary ranges from INR 1,400,000 to INR 1,750,000 CTC per annum, commensurate with experience and skills.
