Duties and Responsibilities: The Programme Associate will have a range of responsibilities, including:
Coordinating the implementation of cash-based assistance at the sub-office level, ensuring compliance with established procedures and timelines.
Receiving and verifying distribution reports, and transmitting them to the Country Office for reconciliation.
Actively participating in data collection to inform decision-making regarding cash transfer modalities at the sub-office level.
Assisting in the preparation and establishment of beneficiary lists according to transfer mechanisms under SCOPE (mobile money, direct cash, electronic vouchers).
Monitoring cross-cutting issues related to cash-based assistance implementation, such as gender, protection, and accountability.
Ensuring accurate entry of cash transfer activity reports into the CBT and COMET databases for the relevant sub-office.
Participating in the review of cash transfer proposals submitted by partners at the sub-office level.
Supervising CBT distributions and providing capacity building for sub-office colleagues on policies, guidelines, and standards for cash transfer implementation.
Verifying the upload and quality of distribution reports completed by financial partners on SCOPE. 1
Maintaining up-to-date records of beneficiary lists and ensuring electronic archiving for reconciliation purposes. 1
Adhering to CBT operational procedures for all distributions. 1
Performing additional tasks related to the position to achieve project objectives.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in program management, with at least 3 years specifically in cash-based transfers (CBT). Experience collaborating with technical teams in areas such as nutrition, vulnerability analysis, and mapping is essential. Candidates should have a proven track record of contributing to program implementation and facilitating discussions on necessary actions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Educational Background: The minimum educational requirement for this position is the completion of secondary education, along with a post-secondary certificate or diploma in project and program management, sociology, or a related field.
