Job Overview:
The position of Consultant within UNESCO's Culture Sector in Ukraine is pivotal in the ongoing digital transformation of the cultural sector. The primary focus is to ensure open access to information regarding museums, collections, authors, and other heritage-related entities. The public portal of the Register is a crucial tool in this endeavor, serving as an open digital environment that presents museum information, promotes cultural heritage, and engages a wide audience. The consultant will be responsible for the systematic administration of the portal, ensuring regular content updates, quality control, and effective coordination among various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Culture, technical teams, and museums. The role requires a proactive approach to develop the portal into a high-quality digital resource that enhances access to museum heritage and promotes Ukrainian cultural assets through structured and accessible representation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Consultant will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: administering and regularly updating the portal content; planning and managing content production, which includes articles, news, quizzes, and descriptions; structuring, editing, and publishing multimedia materials; developing a comprehensive content model for the portal; ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of published information; maintaining content quality and consistency; ensuring compliance with accessibility, UX/UI, and open data standards; preparing analytical reports on portal performance and user engagement; analyzing user interaction data; developing recommendations for content strategy improvement; supporting decision-making for portal development; aligning the content plan with the communications plan devised by the Media Relations Manager; maintaining regular meetings with the communications team at UNESCO Antenna in Ukraine; and exploring opportunities for cross-posting to broaden the coverage of materials and ensure consistent branding.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess higher education and at least three years of experience in content management, digital communications, or web administration. Experience in content creation and publishing is essential, along with a proven track record of working with stakeholders such as government entities, museums, experts, and IT teams. A solid understanding of UX/UI principles, accessibility, open data, and copyright regulations is required. Familiarity with analytics tools is considered an asset, as is experience in the cultural sector. Basic knowledge of API integration and database management is desirable.

Educational Background:
The position requires candidates to have a higher education degree, which provides a foundational understanding of the principles and practices relevant to content management and digital communications.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in fields such as content management, digital communications, or web administration. This experience should include content creation and publishing, as well as collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies and cultural institutions. Familiarity with the cultural sector will be advantageous, as will experience with analytics tools and understanding of digital system architecture.

Languages:
Fluency in Ukrainian is mandatory for this position, as it is essential for effective communication and content management within the cultural sector in Ukraine. Proficiency in English is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with international stakeholders and enhance the consultant's ability to engage with a broader audience.
