Job Overview: The Finance Officer will work under the supervision of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Deputy Director of Finance for Operations. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the accounting closure of the Pools according to the closure schedule. The Finance Officer will be expected to update the receivables tracking and facilitate information exchange as needed across four regions. This position requires a proactive approach to financial management, ensuring that all financial processes are adhered to and improved where necessary. The Finance Officer will also be involved in the monthly validation process, importing SAGA accounts into Agresso, reconciling accounting entries between Saga, Agresso, and Financial Reports, managing contract billing in Agresso, and controlling administrative expenses. Additionally, the officer will be responsible for re-evaluating accounts in classes 4 and 5, correcting imports or billing discrepancies, and supporting the Deputy Director in relation to international accounting. The role also includes participating in process improvement initiatives and updating or creating operational procedures as needed, depending on the workload.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Update receivables tracking and facilitate information exchange across four regions.
Conduct monthly validation according to the checklist.
Import SAGA accounts into Agresso.
Reconcile accounting entries between Saga, Agresso, and Financial Reports.
Manage contract billing in Agresso.
Control and enter administrative expenses (overheads) in Agresso.
Perform re-evaluations for accounts in classes 4 and 5 and handle reversals.
Create and maintain fixed asset tables.
Correct imports or billing discrepancies. 1

Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a degree in finance and possess at least two years of experience in the field, including experience in a Country Office within an international NGO. A strong understanding of commitment accounting is essential. The candidate should be able to work effectively in an international environment and have excellent written and spoken English skills.
Educational Background: A degree in finance or a related field is required for this position. This educational background should provide the necessary knowledge and skills to manage financial operations effectively within an NGO context.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in finance, particularly within an international NGO setting. This experience should include familiarity with accounting practices and financial management in a humanitarian context.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset but is not explicitly required.
Additional Notes: The position is classified as a cadre integrated role, with a fixed-term contract of six months and full-time hours. The location is Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis), France. The salary ranges from €37,000 to €44,000 gross annually, depending on experience, with a seniority bonus after three years of service at headquarters. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 21 days of RTT (reduction of working time). Health coverage and insurance are provided, with 80% of costs covered by ACF. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Transportation costs are partially reimbursed, and meal vouchers are provided. Telework is available for all employees within metropolitan territory, with no mandatory in-person presence required except for collective meetings and events (up to three days per month) and two days during team integration.
