Job Overview: The position of Consultant National Ingenieur Architecte involves providing specialized engineering and architectural consultancy services to support UNDP's projects in Burundi. Duties and Responsibilities: The Consultant National Ingenieur Architecte will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed projects.
Developing architectural designs and engineering plans that meet project specifications and local regulations.
Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Preparing detailed project documentation, including technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules.
Overseeing construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Providing technical guidance and support to contractors and construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Conducting regular inspections and evaluations of ongoing projects to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
Ensuring that all projects adhere to environmental sustainability practices and contribute to the overall development goals of UNDP.
Required Qualifications: Candidates applying for the Consultant National Ingenieur Architecte position must possess a range of qualifications, including:
A valid professional engineering or architectural license in Burundi.
Proven experience in architectural design and engineering project management, preferably in a consulting capacity.
Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices.

Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Burundi. Additional Notes: This position is classified as an individual contractor role, and the contract duration is set for 30 days. The consultant will be expected to work full-time during this period, with flexibility in hours as needed to meet project demands. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
