The consultant will work closely with project teams to ensure that all research and script development activities align with the project objectives and timelines. The position is for a duration of two months, during which the consultant will be expected to deliver comprehensive research outputs and contribute to the creative process of script development.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
Assisting in the research and development of scripts for audiovisual projects, ensuring that all content is relevant and engaging.
Organizing and managing research materials, including transcriptions, thematic coding, and version control.
Supporting the writing process by providing necessary information and insights that enhance the script quality.
Collaborating with project teams to ensure that all research activities are aligned with project goals and timelines.
Conducting systematic reviews of existing literature and resources to inform script development.
Preparing matrices or fichas for data organization and analysis.
Maintaining clear communication with team members and stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges.
Ensuring compliance with UNDP procurement processes and guidelines throughout the project.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A professional degree in Film and Television, Social Communication, Audiovisual Arts, Humanities, History, Information Science, Library Science, Anthropology, or Sociology.
A minimum of two years of specific experience in research assistance or script support for audiovisual projects.
Proven experience in organizing information and supporting writing processes, including activities such as transcription, thematic coding, and version control.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesize information effectively.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a professional degree in one of the following fields: Film and Television, Social Communication, Audiovisual Arts, Humanities, History, Information Science, Library Science, Anthropology, or Sociology. This educational background is essential to ensure that the consultant has the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to perform the duties effectively.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in research assistance or script support for audiovisual projects. This experience must be post-graduation and should not overlap with other roles. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of the audiovisual industry and possess skills in managing and organizing research data.
