Job Overview:
The position of PAZ - Consultor Script doctor is aimed at engaging a professional with extensive experience in scriptwriting and consultancy for film, series, or other audiovisual projects. The consultant will be responsible for providing expert advice on script structure, dramaturgy, pacing, and narrative clarity. This role requires a deep understanding of the creative process involved in script development, including the evaluation of scripts and the preparation of notes on outlines, treatments, and script versions. The consultant will work closely with project teams to enhance the quality of scripts and ensure they meet the required standards for production. The assignment is expected to last for two months, during which the consultant will be expected to deliver high-quality outputs that align with the objectives of the UNDP.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Provide expert consultancy on scriptwriting, focusing on structure, narrative clarity, and pacing.
  • Evaluate existing scripts and provide constructive feedback to enhance their quality.
  • Prepare detailed notes on outlines, treatments, and script versions during the development process.
  • Collaborate with writers and project teams to refine scripts and ensure they meet production standards.
  • Conduct workshops or training sessions for writers to improve their skills in scriptwriting.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in scriptwriting and storytelling.
  • Ensure all deliverables are submitted on time and meet the quality expectations set by the UNDP.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders and provide regular updates on progress.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in scriptwriting or consultancy for film, series, or other audiovisual projects.
  • Proven expertise in script structure, dramaturgy, pacing, and narrative clarity.
  • Experience in evaluating scripts and providing feedback on development processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the UNDP's mission and values is an advantage.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a professional degree in one of the following fields: Film and Television, Social Communication, Audiovisual Arts, Literature, or Humanities. This educational background is essential to ensure a solid understanding of the creative and technical aspects of scriptwriting and storytelling.

Experience:
The position requires a significant level of experience, specifically a minimum of eight (8) years in the field of scriptwriting or consultancy for audiovisual projects. This experience should be directly related to the responsibilities of the role, with a focus on script evaluation and development. Candidates must demonstrate a track record of successful projects and contributions to the industry.

Languages:
