Job Overview:
This position involves the preparation of the First Integrated Financial Disclosure on Sustainability, Climate, and Nature. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
  • Conducting thorough research on sustainability practices and financial reporting standards.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders to gather necessary data and insights for the financial disclosure.
  • Analyzing data to assess the organization's impact on climate and nature.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports that detail the findings and recommendations for the integrated financial disclosure.
  • Ensuring that all disclosures align with UNDP's sustainability goals and international standards.
  • Engaging in regular communication with UNDP teams to provide updates on progress and address any challenges.
  • Reviewing and revising drafts of the financial disclosure to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Participating in meetings and workshops to present findings and gather feedback from stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include a strong background in sustainability, finance, or a related field. Familiarity with international sustainability reporting standards and frameworks is highly desirable. Experience:

Proven track record in preparing financial disclosures or sustainability reports will be considered a significant asset.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, as the position is based in Costa Rica. Proficiency in English is also required, as it is essential for communication with international stakeholders and for understanding global sustainability standards. Knowledge of additional languages would be considered a plus, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
