Job Overview:
The position of Procurement Process IC - Individual contractor involves providing consultancy services aimed at strengthening the technical capabilities of officials in Family Commissions. The consultant will develop a module focused on differential approaches and intercultural dialogue. This role is crucial in enhancing the effectiveness of Family Commissions in Colombia, particularly in addressing issues related to ethnic, population, or territorial differences. The consultant will be expected to engage in institutional dialogues and implement strategies that promote gender-based violence awareness, especially within indigenous communities. The position requires a proactive approach to developing training materials and facilitating workshops that foster intercultural understanding and collaboration among diverse groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for this position include:

• Developing and delivering training modules on differential approaches and intercultural dialogue for Family Commission officials.
• Conducting assessments to identify the specific needs of the officials and tailoring training programs accordingly.
• Facilitating workshops and discussions that promote understanding of gender-based violence issues within indigenous populations.
• Collaborating with local stakeholders to ensure the training is culturally relevant and effective.
• Providing ongoing support and guidance to officials post-training to ensure the implementation of learned strategies.
• Documenting the training process and outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of the consultancy.
• Engaging in continuous communication with UNDP and other relevant parties to align the consultancy with broader organizational goals.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include:

• A professional degree in Anthropology or Sociology.
• At least three years of relevant experience, including: a. One year of experience in areas related to institutional dialogues and intercultural activities for implementing differential ethnic, population, or territorial approaches. b. One year of professional experience addressing gender-based violence in indigenous communities. c. One year of experience as a trainer, educator, or facilitator in topics related to differential approaches and intercultural dialogue.
• Strong understanding of the socio-cultural dynamics affecting indigenous populations in Colombia.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a professional degree in either Anthropology or Sociology. This educational background is essential as it provides the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to understand the complexities of cultural interactions and social structures, particularly in the context of indigenous communities and gender issues.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of three years of relevant experience. This experience should encompass a variety of roles that demonstrate the ability to engage with institutional dialogues, facilitate intercultural communication, and address gender-based violence. Specific experience in training or educational roles is highly valued, as it indicates the candidate's capability to effectively convey knowledge and skills to others.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is Spanish, as all training and communication will be conducted in this language. Proficiency in Spanish is essential for engaging with Family Commission officials and indigenous communities. Additional languages may be considered an asset but are not required.

This consultancy position is for a duration of three months. It is a full-time role, and candidates are expected to be available for the entire duration of the assignment.
