The assignment is set to last from June 2026 to December 2026, for a maximum of six months, during which the consultant will be expected to contribute to various projects and initiatives focused on economic equality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the National Consultant on Equanomics Data Analysis include:
  • Conducting comprehensive data analysis on economic equality and equity metrics.
  • Developing and maintaining databases to track relevant data sets.
  • Collaborating with UNDP teams to identify data needs and analytical requirements.
  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations that summarize findings and recommendations.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to communicate insights and gather feedback.
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process.
  • Staying updated on trends and developments in equanomics and related fields.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to team members on data analysis methodologies.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to work with large data sets and perform complex analyses. Familiarity with statistical software and data visualization tools is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey findings to diverse audiences. A strong understanding of economic principles, particularly those related to equality and equity, is also required. The consultant should be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, data science, or a related field is required. A master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline is preferred, as it demonstrates a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in economic analysis and policy development.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably within the context of economic research or development projects. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable, as it indicates familiarity with the operational frameworks and expectations of such entities. Proven experience in conducting research and producing analytical reports is essential.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, as all reports and communications will be conducted in this language. Knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is considered an asset, as it may facilitate better engagement with local stakeholders and enhance the consultant's effectiveness in the role.
