Job Overview: The internship program at UNICEF aims to provide a framework for current eligible undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds. The intern will follow up on the agreed program of workplan activities and maintain contact with relevant local partners, contributing to effective program monitoring and tracking of results, as well as participating in program meetings and maintaining records of proceedings.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern's duties will include supporting program implementation in liaison with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and other local partners, specifically focusing on the Child Friendly Cities Initiative and international assessments such as TIMSS and PISA preparations. The intern will follow up on the agreed program of workplan activities and maintain contact with relevant local partners, specifically working on the finalization of terms of reference for the Early Learning Standards and Inclusive Education Framework. The intern will also participate in program meetings, maintain records of proceedings, contribute to effective program monitoring and tracking of results, and assist in the preparation of regular and ad-hoc office program reports.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this internship, applicants must be currently enrolled in or have graduated within the past two years from an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. degree program in Education, Economics, Social Sciences, or other related fields. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess good verbal and written skills in both English and Arabic. Familiarity with children's programs is also required, and applicants must be Qatari nationals.
