Job Overview: The position involves providing training in dairy product transformation processes, marketing" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">digital marketing, personal development, entrepreneurship, and the management and distribution of startup kits to 150 women in the Canton of Mogom, Yakang, Loubour, Laffai, Djappai, Dayong, and Dir. The consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering training sessions that equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance their business capabilities and improve their livelihoods. The training is expected to last for one month, and the consultant will need to engage with local communities to understand their specific needs and tailor the training accordingly. The role requires a proactive approach to ensure that the training is effective and meets the objectives set by UNDP.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a comprehensive training curriculum that covers dairy product transformation processes, digital marketing strategies, personal development techniques, and entrepreneurship skills.
Conduct training sessions for the participants, ensuring that the content is engaging and relevant to their needs.
Provide hands-on demonstrations of dairy product transformation techniques to enhance practical understanding.
Facilitate discussions and group activities that encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants.
Monitor and evaluate the progress of participants throughout the training, providing feedback and support as needed.
Prepare and submit a final report detailing the training outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations for future training initiatives.
Collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure the training aligns with community needs and development goals.
Manage logistics related to training sessions, including venue selection, materials preparation, and participant coordination.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in training delivery, particularly in the areas of product transformation, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
Strong understanding of dairy product processing and related technologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.
Experience working with women’s groups or in community development initiatives is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficiency in using digital tools for training and marketing purposes.
Educational Background: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Food Science, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. A master’s degree or additional certifications in training or development would be an advantage.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of professional experience in training, capacity building, or consultancy roles, particularly in the agricultural or food processing sectors. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is preferred.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, as the training will be conducted in French. Proficiency in English is an asset, as it may facilitate communication with UNDP staff and documentation.
Additional Notes: The contract duration for this position is one month, and it is expected to be a full-time engagement. The consultant will be required to work on-site in Cameroon and may need to travel to various locations within the Canton of Mogom. Compensation details will be discussed during the selection process, and benefits may include allowances for travel and accommodation as per UNDP policies.
