Job Overview:
The consultant will play a crucial role in enhancing the Integrated Data System (IDS) within UNICEF Pakistan. The primary focus will be on generating actionable insights from the IDS, which consolidates various data types including programmatic, emergency, and monitoring data. The consultant will shift the emphasis from mere system development to the practical application of data analytics, improving dashboard functionalities, and enabling program teams to utilize data more effectively. This role will also involve introducing enhancements such as improved data integration and AI-enabled reporting methods to facilitate timely decision-making across the organization. The consultant will work closely with the Data and Analytics Unit, ICT, and various program sections to ensure that the IDS serves as a core decision-support platform.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant's responsibilities will include conducting continuous analysis of IDS datasets, producing structured analytical outputs, and translating data into actionable insights for program planning and management. They will design, develop, and maintain dashboards that align with program priorities, ensuring usability and adoption across sections. The consultant will also integrate internal and external datasets into the IDS, improve data quality and consistency, and apply data validation practices. They will deliver iterative analytical updates, expand system functionality, and introduce AI approaches for automated reporting. Additionally, the consultant will provide training and mentoring to strengthen staff capacity in using IDS dashboards and analytical outputs.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, information systems, data engineering, analytics, or a related technical field. They should have at least 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, integrated data systems, business intelligence, or program monitoring and evaluation. Proven experience in designing and maintaining dashboards and decision-support tools is essential, along with strong skills in data integration and quality assurance. Experience with institutional data systems and familiarity with AI and machine learning applications for data analysis are also highly desirable.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as data science, statistics, or computer science is required. Advanced degrees may be preferred but are not explicitly stated as necessary for this position.
