Job Overview: The position of Consultant Technique is aimed at capitalizing on the results of the SCALA program within the context of the investment plan for CDN 3.
The consultant will be responsible for analyzing and synthesizing the outcomes of the program, ensuring that the results are effectively integrated into the broader investment strategies. The consultant is expected to work closely with various stakeholders, including government officials, local communities, and other partners, to ensure that the findings are relevant and can be utilized for future planning and implementation. The mission is set for a duration of 12 months, with an estimated workload of six days per month, indicating a part-time commitment that allows for flexibility in scheduling.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Consultant Technique will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Conducting thorough analyses of the SCALA program results, identifying key achievements and areas for improvement.
Developing detailed reports that summarize findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
Facilitating workshops and meetings with stakeholders to discuss results and gather feedback.
Collaborating with UNDP teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
Providing technical expertise in the formulation of investment plans based on the program's outcomes.
Ensuring that all documentation is completed in accordance with UNDP standards and protocols.
Engaging with local communities to understand their perspectives and incorporate their feedback into the final reports.
Monitoring and evaluating the implementation of recommendations made in previous reports.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a strong set of qualifications, including:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present it clearly.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English.
Familiarity with the UNDP's operational procedures and procurement processes is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field such as international development, public policy, or a related discipline is required. Additional certifications in project management or evaluation methodologies would be an asset. Candidates with a PhD in a relevant field will be given preference.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of professional experience in program evaluation, project management, or a related field. Experience working with international organizations, particularly within the UN system, is highly desirable. Familiarity with the specific context of Ivory Coast and previous work on climate-related projects will be considered an advantage.
Languages: Fluency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication in Ivory Coast. Proficiency in English is also required, as it is essential for reporting and communication with international stakeholders. Knowledge of additional local languages would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
Additional Notes: This position is classified as an individual contractor role, with a contract duration of 12 months. The consultant is expected to work part-time, approximately six days per month. The position is open to both national and international candidates, and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
