Job Overview: The position involves managing the Heads of Technical Departments/Programs/Consortia (lead of Action contre la Faim) and providing support to the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director. The responsibilities include coordinating the definition and implementation of the strategy and ensuring the coordination of programmatic technical departments. The role also entails contributing to the representation of Action contre la Faim regarding operational technical strategy and program implementation. Additionally, the position requires supervising the coordination of consortia where Action contre la Faim is the lead, ensuring monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and capitalization of programs, as well as analyzing humanitarian needs. The role also involves coordinating and supporting the design and implementation of Action contre la Faim's partnership and localization strategy, along with managing the team effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate the definition and implementation of the strategy for technical departments and programs.
Ensure effective coordination among programmatic technical departments.
Represent Action contre la Faim in operational technical strategy discussions and program implementation.
Supervise the coordination of consortia where Action contre la Faim is the lead.
Monitor, evaluate, report, and capitalize on programs, ensuring thorough analysis of humanitarian needs.
Coordinate and support the design and implementation of partnership and localization strategies.
Manage and lead your team, ensuring effective performance and development.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a higher education degree (Bac+5) in project management or other relevant fields related to the job requirements. A minimum of 7 years of humanitarian experience is required, including at least 3 years in a similar or equivalent position. Demonstrated experience in project management and planning, leadership, and managing complexity is essential, along with experience in multisectoral program management and budget management. Candidates should also have experience in managing senior staff, emergency and development actions, project proposal writing, and coordination with authorities and consortia. Knowledge of donor procedures and strategies is necessary, along with strong leadership qualities, integrity, communication and writing skills, team management, and performance monitoring capabilities.
Educational Background: A higher education degree (Bac+5) in project management or a related field is required for this position. This educational background should provide the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage projects and lead teams in a humanitarian context.
Experience: The position requires at least 7 years of relevant humanitarian experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar or equivalent role. Candidates should have a proven track record in project management, leadership, and managing complex situations, as well as experience in multisectoral program management and budget oversight.
Languages: Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and partners.
Additional Notes: The position is open for international applications and offers a fixed-term contract under French law for 7 months. The gross monthly salary ranges from 2899 to 3376 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month payment. Non-French citizens will receive a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of the gross monthly salary. The base salary increases by 6% every 12 months of continuous contract. Additional benefits include a per diem and monthly living expenses of 675 euros net, a monthly context allowance of 150 euros, and a child allowance of 1500 euros per year per child present in the home country (with a ceiling of 6000 euros per year). Transport and accommodation are covered, and medical coverage includes 100% reimbursement of health insurance contributions and medical expenses for up to one month after the contract ends. Salary maintenance provisions are in place for illness, maternity, and paternity. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days per year, with travel expenses covered for breaks and a flat allowance of 215 euros per RnR. National applications will be subject to internal and national salary conditions of Action contre la Faim in Cameroon.
