Job Overview: The LogisticsSupport Officer will provide support to the logistics and program teams implementing Action contre la Faim (ACF) projects from various ACF bases in Chad. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the supply chain according to ACF standards, participating in logistics project management, strengthening team capacities through training, assisting bases in stock and asset management, and implementing recommendations from internal and external audits. The position requires a proactive approach to logistics management and the ability to work effectively in challenging environments, ensuring that all logistical operations align with ACF's mission and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Support Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
Providing logistical support to ensure the efficient functioning of the supply chain in accordance with ACF standards.
Participating in the management of logistics projects, ensuring that all activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
Strengthening the capacities of logistics teams by delivering training and support.
Assisting bases in managing stocks and assets, ensuring proper inventory control and reporting.
Participating in the implementation of recommendations from internal and external audits to improve logistics processes.
Collaborating with other departments to ensure that logistical needs are met in a timely manner.
Ensuring compliance with ACF policies and procedures in all logistics operations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a BAC+3 level diploma in logistics management of activities and programs, along with significant experience in procurement, particularly in managing tenders and purchasing procedures. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role is required, preferably within an NGO and in emergency humanitarian contexts. Previous experience with Action contre la Faim is highly desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate a proven ability to support logistical and operational bases effectively, with a strong capacity to intervene in complex environments.
Educational Background: The position requires a minimum educational qualification of a BAC+3 diploma in logistics management or a related field. This educational background should provide the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for effective logistics management in humanitarian settings.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics support roles, particularly in humanitarian contexts. Experience in managing procurement processes, including tenders and purchasing, is essential. Familiarity with the operations of NGOs and the challenges faced in emergency situations will be advantageous.
Languages: Professional proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly French, is considered a strong asset, given the operational context in Chad and the organization's working language.

The gross monthly salary ranges from 2130 to 2475 euros, depending on experience, and includes a 13th-month salary. Non-French citizens will receive a retirement insurance reimbursement of 16% of their gross monthly salary. The base salary is subject to a 6% increase every 12 months of continuous contract. Additional benefits include a per diem and monthly living expenses of 838 euros net, a monthly contextual allowance of 150 euros, and an annual child allowance of 1500 euros per child (up to a maximum of 6000 euros per year). Transportation and accommodation will be provided, along with comprehensive medical coverage for health insurance and repatriation costs. The organization also offers salary maintenance provisions for illness, maternity, and paternity. Employees are entitled to 25 days of annual leave and 20 rest and recuperation days per year, with travel expenses covered for breaks.
