Job Overview:
The role of the Asistente de Logística is crucial for the daily implementation of logistics management activities related to various projects. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with operational, regulatory, and financial standards, thereby guaranteeing efficient, transparent logistics processes that align with institutional policies and donor requirements. The Asistente de Logística will implement NRC's policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), manuals, guidelines, and donor requirements in the daily execution of logistics activities. This role also involves providing logistical administration and basic support across all areas of the organization, ensuring that all supporting documents are accurately presented to the financial unit and logistics files for audit processes. The Asistente de Logística will participate in planning and delivering logistics activities, maintain documentary records of logistics management, and promote ideas for improving logistics functions. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Line Manager as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Asistente de Logística will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to: supporting market analysis to determine the best intervention methods, assisting in project purchasing planning, executing procurement processes in accordance with organizational guidelines, policies, and SOPs to meet internal client requirements, implementing alternative purchasing processes (such as cash transfers, advance mission purchases, operational contracts, derogations, and file notes), utilizing and timely recording data in institutional tools for procurement management, participating in supplier evaluations and updating the Supplier Database, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in various logistics procedures, and maintaining accurate records of all logistics activities. Additionally, the Asistente de Logística will oversee the proper storage and rotation of inventory, maintain structural integrity of warehouses, register and update all newly purchased NRC assets in the appropriate systems, supervise the packaging, loading, and unloading of materials, ensure compliance with safety standards in warehouse operations, report any losses or discrepancies, and manage the timely and efficient dispatch and receipt of goods. The role also includes organizing local labor for efficient receipt and dispatch of goods, assisting in the preparation of supporting documents for payments, and ensuring proper vehicle usage and maintenance according to NRC's logistics manual and road safety strategic plan.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Asistente de Logística position should possess a technical or technological background or be in the final semesters of studies in Business Administration, Logistics Management, International Business, or similar fields. They should have a minimum of one year of proven experience in a similar role, preferably within humanitarian organizations. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge in procurement, inventory management, supply chains, and purchasing regulations. Basic knowledge of the English language is also required. Additionally, candidates should have solid experience in supply chain management, warehouse management, asset management, and transportation management, as well as proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with ERP software.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Asistente de Logística position includes a technical or technological degree or being a student in the final semesters of relevant fields such as Business Administration, Logistics Management, or International Business. This educational foundation is essential for understanding the complexities of logistics operations and effectively contributing to the organization's mission.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of one year of relevant experience in logistics roles, particularly in humanitarian contexts. Candidates should have experience working in complex and changing environments, demonstrating the ability to adapt and respond to various logistical challenges. Previous experience in procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations is highly valued, as is familiarity with the specific needs and regulations of humanitarian aid.

Languages:
