Job Overview: The Senior Program Officer (SPO) for Policy and Advocacy plays a crucial role within the Policy Advocacy and Government Relations team in the China office. This position is designed for a strategic integrator who will lead and support high-impact projects that translate analysis into actionable strategies. The SPO will focus on international development trends, aid flows, and funding mechanisms, particularly in the context of agricultural adaptation and climate finance. The role requires collaboration with various foundation teams to analyze and organize activities that identify investment opportunities and build partnerships with government entities, academic institutions, think tanks, and private sector partners. Duties and Responsibilities: The SPO will be responsible for cultivating partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, think tanks, and academic institutions, to foster innovative collaborations that mobilize resources for the foundation's advocacy objectives. The role includes leading the management of specific strategy and advocacy projects, developing project charters, tracking milestones, managing risks, and ensuring timely deliverables. The SPO will conduct technical analyses on international development policies and aid models, preparing briefs and synthesizing literature to support advocacy pathways. Additionally, the SPO will manage a portfolio of grants focused on sustainableagricultural development and security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">food security, collaborating with grantees and partners to enhance project impact. Experience in government agencies, multinational corporations, think tanks, or NGOs is essential. Candidates should have solid analytical skills related to global development policy and aid mechanisms, as well as proven project management experience, including the ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders effectively.
