Job Overview:
The Work-study Logistics / General Services position is situated within the logistics and Information Systems department of Solidarités International. The Intern will be responsible for managing the work environment under the supervision of the General Services Officer. This role involves providing support to users at the headquarters, whether they are on-site or working remotely. The Internship is designed for a duration of one year, with the intern expected to be present at the headquarters for three-quarters of their working time. The intern will gain practical experience in logistics and general services, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will have a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: managing infrastructure maintenance and serving as the primary contact for various collaborators and service providers; overseeing small maintenance tasks; monitoring maintenance services; managing contracts; proposing improvements; ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and ecological standards; managing access to the headquarters; maintaining safety registers; and managing waste disposal. Additionally, the intern will ensure the proper functioning and sizing of equipment at the headquarters, including overseeing small maintenance tasks, managing maintenance contracts, purchasing equipment, managing equipment stocks, and organizing space arrangements. The intern will also be responsible for ensuring the availability of office supplies, maintenance supplies, cafeteria items, hygiene products, and furniture. Budget management and consumption tracking will also be part of the role, including updating consumption tracking tables, proposing budgetary actions, and revising the service budget. The intern will handle user requests, facilitate services, and participate in event logistics. They will also be involved in projects aimed at reducing CO2 emissions, space management, compliance work, furniture renewal plans, and contract renegotiations. Regular participation in various team meetings will be expected, including bi-monthly meetings with headquarters staff, bi-monthly logistics service meetings, weekly general services team meetings, and monthly budget follow-up meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a background in general services or work environment management. Previous professional experience in a related field is a plus. A strong interest in the humanitarian sector is essential. The ideal candidate should possess skills such as availability, adaptability, communication, autonomy, initiative, and teamwork.
Educational Background:
A relevant educational background in general services, logistics, or a related field is necessary for this position. Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a degree that aligns with the responsibilities of the role.
Experience:
While prior professional experience is not mandatory, having one or more relevant experiences in logistics or general services will be considered an advantage. The organization values candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to the humanitarian sector and possess practical skills that can be applied in the role.
Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory for this position, given the location and the nature of the work. Proficiency in English or other languages would be considered an asset, enhancing communication with international teams and stakeholders.
Additional Notes:
This is a work-study position based at the headquarters of Solidarités International in Clichy (92), accessible via the Mairie de Clichy metro station. The internship is structured as a 12-month apprenticeship contract. Compensation will be in accordance with current regulations, with public transport costs covered at 50% by Solidarités International. Additionally, the organization provides meal vouchers worth €8.90 per day worked, with a 60% contribution from Solidarités International. Employees are entitled to 2.0833 days of paid leave per month.
