The Ministry of Environmental Protection (herewith referred as: the Ministry) has approached UNDP with the request to supplement the capacities of the Ministry in planning, development and supervision of technical documentation for the construction of wastewater treatment plants at municipal level in Serbia.

In accordance with Serbia’s Water Management Strategy by 2034 ("Official Gazette of RS" No. 3/2017), Serbia will need to construct 359 wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) until 2044.
