We're hiring a temporary Communications Specialist in Dallas, TX.

This is a temporary position with an end date of August 18, 2023. In this part-time role, you will be working 20 hours per week. This is an office-based position that offers a hybrid schedule. Our office is located in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

The Temporary Communications Specialist is responsible for assisting the communications team in planning and implementing the Marketing and communications efforts to promote community programs, development, and event efforts.

Specific projects will include the planning and Logistics for the Dallas Heart Walk, assisting the Regional Event Planning Director with the creation and implementation of market event toolkits, as well as working with the Senior Region Marketing Communications Director in curating and driving digital content for the SouthWest region.

Some of the skills acquired include:

  • Understanding of communications planning and execution to promote non-profit programs

  • Improved written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Effective oral, written and presentation communication skills

  • Knowledge of AP style writing

  • Understanding of corporate social Media Management

  • Ability to work professionally in corporate and non-profit environments

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs preferred

  • Minimum availability of 20 hour per week
