Wyoming State Director

Job Description/Overarching Goals: The State Director is responsible for the implementation of assigned Development Projects and Fundraising revenue. This position will be responsible for several streams of revenue including, but not limited to youth market, new business and leadership gifts. This position will have a revenue accountability of $400-$625k. The State Director will devise and implement the strategy and direction for the market’s unified health and revenue efforts. This includes building powerful partnerships with Volunteer, community, and corporate leaders, sponsors, and other internal and external stakeholders, as well as:
  • General fundraising:
  • Developing and supporting community wide strategies to support the creation of a culture of health in the market.
  • Support the achievement of the unrestricted field campaign through health asset sponsorships/activations and other means.
  • Leading the organization efforts to achieve mission and revenue initiatives to improve the cardiovascular health of our community.
  • Maintaining and tracking all related fundraising data
  • The Executive Director will also collaborate on the execution of the statewide efforts in community impact.
  • Coordinating, planning, and implementing activities and resources necessary to achieve campaign goals and fundraising objectives in the assigned territory.
  • Youth Market:
  • Work as the liaison with school-based coordinators (typically PE teachers/school principals/superintendents) to raise funds through the KHC program.
  • Selling our lifesaving mission to local schools through prospecting and securing school participation while providing tools and training to help schools establish and meet their fundraising goals.
  • Achieving income and school recruitment goals through the management of existing customers and school accounts, and prospecting and cultivating new school accounts.
  • Implementing the Kid’s Heart Challenge fundraising program throughout the assigned territory.

Key responsibilities/goals will include, (but not be limited to): Q1:
  • General Development:
  • Listening tour with potential and current volunteers, partners, coalitions and organizations.
  • Internal discussions with CI, QORA, Advocacy, Mission advancement to begin development of pipeline and overarching strategy
  • Establish relationships with key healthcare and business sector leaders
  • Youth Market
  • Fall events moved to pre-reg and PM done by 10/1
  • Check in Meeting 50% complete by 9/30 Top 25 100% by 10/31
  • Recruitment focus with goal achieved by 10/14
  • Building Powerful Partnerships Proactively
  • General Development:
  • Develop a three-year business plan of market growth through strategic market partnerships, key fundraising events and philanthropic donors. Should include:
  • Unified health and revenue efforts
  • Dollar and volunteer recruitment goals
  • Budget and timelines for implementation and execution
  • Evaluation plan
  • Youth Market
  • Top 25 Goal
  • Secure key strategies in Top 25 schools
  • 100% of Top 25 complete check-in meeting with securing event, planning meeting and assembly dates along with securing classroom strategy
  • Recruitment Goal:
  • Recruitment complete by 10/14
  • Planning Meeting Goal
  • 90% of our PM complete by 12/18
  • Assembly Experience
  • Secure all Tier 1 and 2 schools of our Assembly Experience live/virtual by December 20 th to drive revenue
  • General Development:
  • Develop profiles on the top businesses within the assigned geographic area with a documented plan to secure their involvement.
  • Build plan and pipeline for leadership campaign
  • Develop implementation strategy for population health strategies in collaboration with advocacy and rural health team members
