ALIMA employs nearly 2,000 individuals who work in the field and receive support from Coordination teams based in capital cities, as well as from teams in Paris and New York that focus on Fundraising and representation.

Job Overview:
The position of Stagiaire en Trésorerie involves supporting the treasury manager to ensure the smooth operation of the treasury service and to respond to internal and external requests. The Intern will be responsible for cash and bank operations, maintaining the cash register, and preparing and analyzing cash import files. This role is crucial for managing the financial operations of ALIMA and ensuring that funds are available when needed. The intern will work closely with the accounting service and other administrative departments, gaining valuable experience in Financial Management within a humanitarian context.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for various tasks including: managing cash and bank operations, ensuring the proper maintenance of the cash register, conducting weekly cash control with the treasury manager, anticipating potential cash flow gaps, preparing and analyzing cash import files in ODOO, conducting inventory during cash handovers, processing third-party transfers, creating beneficiaries on Banking platforms, preparing cheque payments, and ensuring follow-up on payments made while providing proof of these payments. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a BAC+4 level diploma in Accounting or Finance. They should have approximately one year of professional experience and a good understanding of software and IT tools, particularly Excel (including TDC and macros), Word, and Google solutions (Drive). Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written, and possess teamwork and interpersonal skills. Proactivity, creativity, curiosity, and a sense of initiative are essential, along with the ability to manage time and stress effectively.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational requirement of a BAC+4 diploma in Accounting or Finance is necessary for this position. This educational background ensures that candidates have a solid foundation in financial principles and practices, which is crucial for the responsibilities they will undertake in the treasury department.

Experience:
Candidates should have approximately one year of professional experience in a relevant field. This experience should ideally include familiarity with financial management practices and tools, as well as exposure to the humanitarian sector, which will enhance their understanding of the specific challenges faced in this context.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory, and a good level of English is preferred. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication within the organization and with external partners, especially in a multicultural environment.

The Internship contract duration is 4 months, with the position available to start as soon as possible. The salary will be an internship allowance according to the salary scale of the headquarters.
