Job Overview:
The OECD's Statistics and Data Directorate (SDD) is seeking a Senior Statistician/Analyst to lead the Productivity and Price Section within the Trade and Productivity Statistics Division. This role involves overseeing the section's work program, managing research projects, and developing innovative products that provide policy-relevant insights on productivity, labor markets, prices, and purchasing power parities (PPPs). The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of the Trade and Productivity Statistics Division and will play a crucial role in shaping the statistical and conceptual framework of the section's work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Statistician/Analyst will be responsible for managing the section's operations to ensure efficient collection, processing, and storage of statistical databases. This includes reviewing press releases and blogs, supervising and motivating staff, and overseeing work related to accession countries. The role also involves demonstrating analytical leadership by influencing and designing innovative techniques related to productivity, labor, prices, and PPPs. The candidate will draft working papers, contribute to research activities, oversee the annual update of productivity indicators, and prepare clear and concise reports for policymakers. Additionally, the role requires active participation in OECD Communities of Practice, contributing to methodological discussions with international organizations, and ensuring effective communication with national delegations and data providers.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess an advanced university degree or equivalent qualification in statistics, Econometrics, or economics, with a PhD being a distinct advantage. They should have at least eight years of experience, including significant time spent working on statistics in a national Administration or international organization. The candidate should have extensive economic and statistical research experience, deep knowledge of measurement issues related to productivity, prices, labor markets, or PPPs, and excellent analytical skills. Proficiency in advanced statistical and econometric methods, familiarity with Data Science, and excellent drafting skills are also essential. Experience in managing teams and delivering team-based projects is required.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have an advanced university degree or equivalent qualification in statistics, econometrics, or economics. A PhD is preferred and would provide a competitive advantage in the selection process.

Experience:
The position requires at least eight years of relevant experience, with several years specifically focused on statistics within a national administration or international organization. The candidate should have a proven track record of economic and statistical research, including publications in international reviews, and should demonstrate a strong capacity for Data Analysis and interpretation.

Languages:
Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) is mandatory, along with knowledge of the other language and a commitment to achieving a good working level in it.

Additional Notes:
This position is a two-year fixed-term appointment with the possibility of renewal. The monthly salary starts at 10,640.30 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, and is exempt from French income tax. The selection process includes written tests or video-recorded interviews in early December, followed by panel interviews in early January.
