GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Corporate and Foundation Partnerships Officer will support the Corporate and Foundations Senior Manager to raise funds from corporate, trust and foundation partners, managing a portfolio of clients and providing a high standard of relationship management and stewardship so that partners are motivated to continue to support Mercy Corps’ work. They will support the growth and development of their portfolio, identifying and cultivating new prospects, as well as supporting cross-team initiatives aiming to enhance and deepen partnership relationships.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Portfolio Management
- Lead on the management of a set portfolio of partners, formulating and implementing strategies for stewardship to deepen and strengthen relationships to significantly increase giving levels and alignment with Mercy Corps’ priorities.
- Develop and submit, in close collaboration with the CFT assistant and Mercy Corps programmes and finance teams, timely reports for Corporate and Foundation donors, tailoring reports by area of support and donor type
- Support relevant teams to understand and adhere to each partners’ individual funding requirements and ensure that reporting is high quality and timely.
- Support the update and delivery of the Emergency response plan for MCE corporate and foundation donors.
- Ensure all records are maintained on Rasiers Edge/NXT and relevant drives.
- Support cross-team initiatives that aim to enhance and deepen partner relationships, including employee engagement, campaigns and events.
- Lead on the identification of new prospects and formulate strategies to build relationships to support income growth and donor diversification in alignment with Mercy Corps’ programmatic priorities.
- Develop compelling proposals and presentations, providing the perspective of the donor and ensuring proposals conform to donor templates and requirements.
- Act as an internal expert on the philanthropic landscape within the UK and Europe.
- Support the process of due diligence on all current and potential corporate, trusts and foundation donors, in accordance with Mercy Corps' due diligence process.
- Work closely with global, regional and HQ teams to remain up to date of MC priorities and global impact, coordinate on relationship development and leverage opportunities.

Mercy Corps team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to our program participants, community partners, other stakeholders, and to international standards guiding International Relief and development work. We are committed to actively engaging communities as equal partners in the Design, monitoring and evaluation of our field projects.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated experience in Corporate and/or Trust and Foundations Fundraising with proven experience in partnership development and a successful track record of securing grants from corporations, charitable trusts and foundations.
- Experience working in the international development/humanitarian sector.
- Excellent writing skills and experience of proposal development and report writing for a corporate, trust and foundations audience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to present the organisation and discuss opportunities for collaboration with a diverse range of actors.
- IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office and databases.
- Experience of using/managing relationship databases ideally Raiser's Edge would be advantageous.
- Professional and motivated, able to work independently and lead on outreach.
- Able to build and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Systematic, with a strong eye for detail.
- Strong team worker and communicator.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented attitude.
