Job Description

Senior Analyst, Federal Aviation Administration, Arlington, VA Proposal Summary:

MSI is assisting a Federal Aviation Administration client office to help them better define and improve organizational and programmatic processes and knowledge resources to support the unit's mission to ensure compliance with public laws, national directives, and Department of Transportation policies that influence security practices. This work involves reviewing current processes and practices around implementing FAA orders and related polices, standard operating procedures and guidance for staff. The expected deliverable will be a practical model or approach to guide the overall Design and development of these knowledge/information resources and materials for the client office.

Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst will work closely with naother analyst on an approximately three-month (late April-July 2021) assignment. S/he will be responsible for working closely with the client and MSI to ensure the submission of high-quality, relevant, accurate and timely deliverables responsive to task order and client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the review and assessment; Collaborate closely with MSI Director" id="link" class="link">Technical Director and co-analyst;
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions with client on the current state, gaps and potential improvements;
  • Design and apply relevant Data Collection and research methods/instruments;
  • Document/map work processes;
  • Provide Change Management and communications expertise;
  • Develop a practical model for creating and integrating Knowledge Products (policies, technical guidance, SOPs, etc.), including an efficient and productive organizational approach to developing, integrating and distributing these resources for staff.
Qualifications:

  • Degree in industrial-organizational psychology, public administration, business administration, organizational development, or related field.
  • 10+ years' relevant experience in organizational assessment, process improvement, organizational design, Knowledge Management, and facilitation.
  • Familiarity with Federal Government, FAA and aviation infrastructure and security issues is highly desirable.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
