Job Overview:
The Roving Change & Deployment Manager for the Asia Region is a pivotal role within CARE USA's Transformation team, specifically designed to oversee and manage high-priority global projects that involve the implementation of new systems and business processes across CARE's country offices. This position is crucial for ensuring that all stakeholders within the offices comprehend CARE's Change Management methodology and its practical application. The manager will facilitate and support the rollout of projects, ensuring that there is active engagement and ownership from the offices involved, which is essential for successful implementation. In the 2025/2026 period, the primary focus will be on delivering Change and Project activities related to the Global Job Architecture project, which will involve supporting a designated portfolio of country offices across the Asia Region and potentially other regions. The role requires approximately 20% travel to support these country offices, indicating a hands-on approach to managing change and deployment activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Roving Change & Deployment Manager will be responsible for several key duties, including: 1. Facilitating the development of comprehensive change and deployment plans tailored to each region and country project, ensuring that these plans effectively address the rollout and integration into standard business operations. 2. Conducting change impact assessments at the country level to ensure that change plans are localized and relevant to the specific context of each office. 3. Gaining a thorough understanding of the business processes and systems that will be implemented, allowing for effective management of the change process. 4. Proactively identifying potential risks associated with the change initiatives and ensuring that these risks are addressed and mitigated by the relevant country, regional, or center office. 5. Contributing to project management deliverables and ensuring their deployment within the region or country offices. 6. Engaging with regional and country colleagues to foster a culture of accountability in resolving issues and celebrating successes. 7. Influencing and overseeing transparency regarding project progress, providing independent reports on the status of each country through established reporting processes. 8. Interacting proactively with all necessary stakeholders to support the preparation, rollout, and consolidation of changes in each country. 9. Training and coaching country and regional office staff in CARE's change management methodology, ensuring that they are equipped to manage their own internal changes effectively. 10. Supporting the continuous improvement of CARE's change management methodology by sharing lessons learned and best practices with the Director of Transformation Delivery, and facilitating the exchange of project experiences among the Transformation Team.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a master’s degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Project Management, Organizational Development, Change Management, or Human Resource Management, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Additionally, candidates should have 3-5 years of practical experience in managing change for large-scale and complex transformational initiatives. They must demonstrate fluency in English, both written and spoken, and have a proven track record of leading, facilitating, and influencing change while delivering major projects that impact business processes and systems. Experience in navigating a large, complex, and highly networked matrix organization is essential, as is the ability to influence others through 'soft power'. Candidates should also have experience in guiding and coaching others towards successful project delivery and in solving complex issues through analytical thinking and clear communication.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a master’s degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Project Management, Organizational Development, Change Management, or Human Resource Management. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered acceptable.
