Job Overview:
The position of Responsable Relations Bailleurs is crucial for implementing ALIMA's funding strategy in line with the country action plan. The individual will be responsible for mobilizing funds necessary for project implementation, maintaining regular communication with donors, and actively seeking new funding opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of donor strategies and the ability to adapt funding strategies based on operational needs. The position involves frequent field visits to assess and support ongoing projects, ensuring that interventions align with donor priorities and operational requirements. The successful candidate will also oversee the preparation of project proposals and reports, ensuring compliance with donor guidelines and deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze donor strategies and funding availability to inform the mission's funding strategy.
  • Identify funding needs in collaboration with the Coordination-team" id="link" class="link">Coordination Team and propose relevant funding strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with donors, ensuring regular and high-quality communication.
  • Conduct active research for new funding opportunities and maintain a Mapping of donors.
  • Support project coordinators in designing interventions that align with donor priorities.
  • Write and submit concept notes and project proposals within donor deadlines.
  • Update the coordination team on donor guidelines and assist in monitoring contractual obligations.
  • Develop monitoring and reporting tools to ensure compliance with donor requirements.
  • Produce accurate and analytical narrative reports for donors, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines. 1
  • Manage contractual agreements with donors and ensure compliance with their procedures. 1
  • Participate in training and awareness sessions on abuse prevention standards.

Required Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields such as development studies, public health, International Relations, or project management.
  • Excellent proficiency in both English and French, both spoken and written.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • At least one year of professional experience in reporting, project Design, or management, preferably in a field setting.
  • Exceptional analytical, synthesis, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong motivation and commitment to achieving project support objectives.
  • Understanding and alignment with ALIMA's values and mission.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree or equivalent in fields related to the position, such as development studies, public health, international relations, or project management, is required for this role.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least one year of professional experience in reporting, project design, or management, with a preference for experience in Field Operations. This experience should demonstrate the ability to manage donor relationships and navigate the complexities of humanitarian funding.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and French is mandatory, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages being essential for the role. Additional languages may be considered an asset but are not required.

Additional Notes:
This is a fixed-term contract (CDD) under French law for a duration of 12 months. The salary will be based on ALIMA's salary scale (level 10), with additional compensation based on experience. ALIMA covers travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the mission location, accommodation costs, and medical coverage from the first day of the contract until one month after departure from the mission country for the employee and their dependents. The position is based in Ouagadougou, with frequent travel to field locations. The start date is as soon as possible.
