Job Overview:
The position of Responsable Lutte contre la précarité menstruelle is aimed at organizing and implementing activities for individuals living in degraded housing conditions to reduce the economic, social, and health vulnerabilities associated with menstruation. The role involves leading projects that improve access to menstrual hygiene materials and enhancing knowledge about women's health issues throughout their lives. The incumbent will also engage in Community Mobilization efforts and contribute to awareness-raising activities regarding water and sanitation practices. This position is crucial as it addresses the needs of marginalized populations, particularly those living in precarious conditions such as slums and squats, and aims to improve their overall well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the Responsable Lutte contre la précarité menstruelle include:
  • Organizing and implementing activities aimed at reducing menstrual poverty among vulnerable populations.
  • Leading projects focused on improving access to menstrual hygiene products.
  • Enhancing community knowledge about women's health and hygiene issues.
  • Engaging in community mobilization efforts to raise awareness about sanitation and hygiene practices.
  • Developing partnerships and managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and evaluating project indicators and activities.
  • Reporting on project progress and challenges.
  • Collaborating with other team members and partners to ensure effective project implementation.
  • Participating in training and capacity-building initiatives for community members.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • Knowledge of menstrual poverty issues, particularly as they affect women.
  • Experience in project management, including monitoring indicators and planning activities.
  • Skills in community mobilization and engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with partners, teams, and the community.
  • Excellent writing skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take initiative in Project Development.

Educational Background:
A minimum educational requirement of BAC +2 or equivalent is necessary for this position. This educational background should ideally be complemented by relevant training or coursework related to public health, social work, or Community Development.

Experience:
Candidates should have prior experience in project management, particularly in contexts related to social issues, health, or humanitarian work. Experience working with marginalized communities and understanding their specific needs is highly valued. The ability to demonstrate successful project outcomes and Community Engagement will be an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in Romanian or Bulgarian is essential for this position. Additionally, knowledge of Albanian or English is considered a valuable asset, as it may facilitate communication with diverse community members and partners.

Additional Notes:
The position is a short-term contract for 9 months, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability. The salary for this position starts at EUR 2865 gross per month, depending on experience. The role is full-time and requires a commitment to the organization's values and mission.
