Job Overview:
The position of Registry involves working within the Immediate Office of the Registrar, which is crucial for the non-judicial Administration and servicing of the Court. The incumbent will be expected to manage a variety of complex issues related to administration, court services, and external operations. This role requires a proactive approach to liaising with various stakeholders, including Registry Directors and external partners, to ensure the effective implementation of decisions made by the Registrar and the Registry Management Team. The position also entails preparing and reviewing important documents, reports, and policy proposals, as well as organizing activities that support the Registrar's external functions. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing the Registry's strategic objectives and ensuring effective communication across different divisions and external entities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will perform a range of duties including: liaising on complex administrative and operational issues; preparing and coordinating background information and Analysis; supporting the implementation of decisions made by the Registrar; preparing and reviewing various reports and documents; organizing activities for the Registrar's external functions; contributing to policy and project proposals; coordinating with different organs and offices within the Registry; and engaging with external stakeholders such as state authorities and NGOs. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Chief of Office or the Senior Special Assistant in their absence.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in administration, international law, or international relations, with a preference for those who have qualifications in two of these areas. A first-level university degree combined with relevant experience may also be accepted. The role requires a minimum of five years of relevant work experience, with a preference for candidates who have experience in administration, judicial support services, or External Relations. Demonstrated experience in a senior Executive Office, particularly within an international organization, is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree is required, preferably in administration and Business Management, international law (with a focus on international Criminal Law or Human Rights law), or international relations. A first-level university degree with additional relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree.

Experience:
The position requires at least five years of relevant work experience, or seven years if the candidate holds a first-level university degree. Experience should be in areas such as administration, judicial support services, or external relations, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked in international organizations or judicial institutions.

Languages:
Proficiency in one of the working languages of the Court, either French or English, is mandatory. A working knowledge of the other language is desirable. Knowledge of additional official languages of the Court, such as Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
This position is a Short-Term Appointment, which is intended to meet immediate staffing needs and does not carry an expectation of renewal. The maximum duration of such appointments is 12 months, and the ICC reserves the right to appoint at a lower grade or modify the job description as necessary. The selected candidate will undergo a Personnel Security Clearance process, which includes verification of personal history and a criminal record check.
